A smart & connected Building Management System

GSE has a team dedicated to making commercial real estate smarter and better connected. Thanks to building automation, we offer innovative digital services to facility managers and users.

GSE’s building management system (BMS) improves energy efficiency and complies with regulations such as France’s Building Automation and Control Systems (BACS) decree. It offers the building’s data to cloud-based services, including the Building Operating System, making the asset digital-ready and future-proof.

Our BMS enables facility managers to monitor and control equipment, manage energy efficiently, detect abnormalities and take corrective action. Thanks to these features, they can reduce the buildings’ energy consumption, cut their operating costs and help protect the environment.

This service’s purpose is to make better use of resources and ensure users’ comfort (in terms of temperatures, air quality, etc.).

Maximising buildings’ energy efficiency

On average, a square metre of building in Europe emits 1.5 tonnes of CO2 over its 50 years of existence. Half of this is attributed to energy consumption during operation. Thermal comfort and air quality are essential to wellbeing at work. GSE offers to analyse and advise you on your building’s energy expenditure, with the aim of using resources more efficiently and ensuring the highest level of comfort for users.

Controlling your building’s energy consumption

In France, the Tertiary Sector Decree is the first piece of legislation to impose real energy performance requirements on existing and new buildings in the services, logistics and retail sectors. It imposes a drastic reduction in energy consumption, with the first stage calling for a 40% decrease by 2030.

The BACS decree is a practical way of meeting the targets of the Tertiary Sector Decree. As of 2024, it requires most new commercial properties to be fitted with a high-performance Building Management System (BMS).

GSE helps you comply with regulations by offering a range of reporting and display solutions – as well as personalised advice on how to optimise your consumption.

Energy management: understand, control, save

The main benefits of our BMS are:

  • Better visibility and control of energy consumption
  • Optimal use of the building, for higher environmental performance and user wellbeing
  • Identification of consumption peaks, covering up to six areas: lighting, heating, ventilation, hot water, exterior, electrical outlets, and processes
  • Recommendations from an energy manager working with the design and construction team to correct excess consumption
  • Employee awareness campaigns on the impacts of their practices
