GSE hands over “WOOD OFFICE”, the first BEPOS-certified wood-frame building in Greater Bordeaux
Located in the Canteranne business park, the Wood Office is part of the Bordeaux Inno-Campus project, declared of city-wide interest.
Designed and built by GSE Aquitaine for GRANITIC, the Wood Office will be the first wood-framed building in Bordeaux Metropole to be BEPOS Effinergie 2017-certified. It combines frugality and energy efficiency, renewable energy production and low carbon footprint.
The 2,450 m2 office building, spread over three floors, offers office space for sale or rent from 387 m2 up. Its location just off the Bordeaux ringroad and the A63 motorway, and also served by bus line 39 connecting the Cité de la Photonique to Bordeaux-Mérignac airport, makes it easily accessible for businesses and their employees.
With its photovoltaic roof, its wood load-bearing structure and cladding, and the presence of 24 charging stations for electric vehicles (out of 83 parking spaces), Wood Office illustrates the ecological ambition that Bordeaux is promoting.
