Innovation: BIM for optimised technical management
This technical centre is part of the “workshops of the future” approach SNCF, France’s national rail operator, is implementing for its industrial maintenance centres. From its initial concept, it incorporates the latest BIM technologies to visualise the building’s future operation. It also has a building management system optimised for maintenance.
The technical centre comprises 32,000 m² of workshops, 7,000 m² of offices and a 235-space multistorey car park.
GSE proposed contemporary and user-friendly designs: canopy terraces for the offices, large bay windows overlooking the workshops and open and bright workspaces favourable to teamwork.
