Combining high bay with environmental sustainability
Schaeffler, a German company specialising in high-precision mechanical components and systems for the automotive industry, wanted to modernise its site and consolidate its infrastructure at a single location. GSE helped the company design and build a facility adapted to its activities, to its exact requirements.
Over several levels, the building contains a storage area, an order preparation area and offices. As part of the company’s policy of environmental responsibility, the workspaces enjoy natural light, while the electrical lighting system is low-energy and the insulation is reinforced. The building also has solar panels to cover part of its energy needs.
