Architectural and environmental performance for this 16,500 m² R&D center

Air Liquide, a world leader in gases, technologies and services for industry and health, has entrusted GSE with the design and construction of its first strategic research and development center based in Shanghai, China.
This highly technical facility of 16,500 m², including 7,000 m² of offices and 2,400 m² of laboratory, required the greatest attention in terms of technical optimisation between the process and the building.
Architecturally efficient, the project adopted a strong environmental approach with a pleasure garden, a bioclimatic envelope, natural light treatment and self-consumed energy production. It is LEED Gold certified.
