A four-storey logistics platform for the giant of e-commerce
GSE built the new, 50,000 m² logistics platform on a former air base. The facility makes optimal use of its footprint – thereby minimising soil sealing – thanks to the robotised handling of goods over four levels.
The building has its own solar power plant, generating energy for its users’ local use. Initially capable of producing 500 MWh a year, it can be scaled up as needs increase. In addition, the project includes a rainwater recovery system, landscaping and other environmental initiatives, which earned it the BREEAM – Very Good certificate.
