PROLOGIS signs a third project with GSE Italy for three new warehouses near Bologna

Prologis Italy S.r.l. commissioned GSE Italy to design and build three new turnkey logistics buildings in Bentivoglio, in the Bologna Freight Village complex, some 20 km from Bologna city centre.

 

The project in Bentivoglio is GSE’s third in two years for Prologis, the leading logistics property management company. It involves three buildings with floor areas of 12,340 m², 18,200 m² and 16,700 m². Each building will include operational office space, a warehouse, technical facilities, a new electrical transformer, outdoor routes for truck traffic, loading and unloading areas and car parks.

 

The first, 6,237 m² building will have eight loading / unloading areas and 32 parking spaces. The second building – with a total area of 10,206 m² – will also have eight loading / unloading areas and 17 parking spaces. The third, 6,758 m² building, will have eleven loading / unloading areas and 55 parking spaces, including 13 for trucks.

 

Built to ISO specifications and according to BIM methods, the three new buildings – like all Prologis properties – will be LEED Silver certified, reflecting the company’s focus on sustainability.

 

The new complex is strategically located in the Bologna Freight Village, an intermodal logistics complex that spans a total area of some 750 acres.
