GSE opens its new Lyon branch, a showcase of the company’s know-how

On Thursday 7 October, commercial property specialist GSE inaugurated its new “Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Bourgogne Franche-Comté” regional branch, previously located in the nearby municipality of Bron. The new 1,430 m2 office boasts industry-leading environmental performance and will provide employees with more space and light.

Maximising the flexibility of the layout, enhancing the comfort of employees and users, and putting environmental & social responsibility into practice: these were the challenges that GSE’s new branch aimed to meet, to better serve the group’s growth and its activity in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Bourgogne Franche-Comté region.

Designed & built by GSE and led by developer Nexity, this 1,430 m2 project comprises three blocks: two-storey woodframed side blocks for the offices and a central block with a concrete & metal frame for the communal areas (toilets, restaurants and a rooftop terrace), also two storeys high.

The building aims to obtain the E3C1 level of the new BEPOS Effinergie 2017 eco-label. To achieve this, it produces electricity (with photovoltaic shading) and minimises its carbon footprint – both in terms of the construction materials used and of its very low energy consumption.

Located on rue Jean Carmet, in the redeveloped Berliet area of the Saint-Priest, a few minutes from the centre of Lyon.
