A career at GSE doesn’t end when you leave. Many who have explored other career paths choose to return. Here are the stories of employees who have found their way back to our company, convinced that GSE is the place to be. 

Leaving to come back stronger 

Leaving a company to discover new challenges or fulfil personal aspirations is natural. Yet some employees find that they miss the DNA of GSE. “It felt like everything fell into place! There’s never a dull moment at GSE! There are always new projects to develop. Being heard and challenged is highly motivating”, says Véronique, Training Manager, who returned after a personal project. For Olivier, Operations Director, returning was an obvious choice: “GSE enabled me to have a family life. The dynamic spirit and diversity of the projects convinced me to come back.

A corporate culture built on trust and autonomy 

What particularly strikes those who return to GSE is the culture of autonomy, trust and sharing that reigns here. “Here, you can always find someone to help,” explains Laurent. “The company policy is based on trust and freedom to act. You feel like a entrepreneur in a large company. Quentin, Project Director, shares this vision: “Few companies offer so much responsibility and freedom in project management. It’s this autonomy that made me want to come back.  

A warm welcome and long-term career prospects 

Returning employees receive a warm welcome, which is a key factor. At GSE, our shared past is not a hindrance – quite the contrary. Véronique remembers: “It was a pleasure to meet up with familiar faces and to see how they had developed. The loyalty of the staff is a testament to the positive work environment. Coming back to GSE is not synonymous with picking up where you left off. On the contrary, the company values diverse career paths and external experience. That’s what happened to François, Industry Design Director for Europe: “I changed responsibilities when I came back. I was able to follow a pharmaceutical customer on its projects in Europe and then I had the opportunity to go and work abroad. That was exactly what I was looking for. Sadek, a former Projects Director, had left GSE to join a client; his return was marked by an opportunity for a Senior Research Director position closer to his aspirations: “What attracted me was the richness of the professions at GSE. You know what you’re leaving behind, but not what you’ll find ahead. And for Matthieu, Director of Confluence France, the return marked a step forward: “My experience elsewhere enabled me to bring an additional skill set to GSE. Today, I’m contributing to a strategic project 

At GSE, leaving does not mean cutting ties. The company knows how to recognise the value of employees who contribute or have contributed to the company’s success. As Laurent sums up: “It’s no coincidence that people leave and come back. It’s because we feel good here.
