Just what is the "new face of logistics real estate"? That is the question asked by Supply Chain Magazine last 13 June, when it brought together the industry leaders to discuss the latest trends in logistics real estate. Is the sector advancing at full speed ahead? Is it relevant to talk about industry when discussing logistics? What relations are there between logistics and environmental issues?
Drawing from its construction expertise, GSE has given its professional opinion to logistic leaders and investors and described the GSE approach which seeks to rehabilitate the image of logistics real estate both with elected officials and local populations. GSE’s emphasis on the use of renewable resources, energy-saving construction elements, environmentally-friendly building insertion on the site, the interests of each party and cost control placed these subjects among the topics of the day. GSE presented an update on the current situation and described today’s new solutions, such as the Optima concept.
Discussions ensued on the changes in the logistics sector and the prospects for 2008-2009, and took into account the rough times weathered by the financial markets.
