What is Oblog?
Jan 15, 2008

Oblog stands for the Observatory for Supply Chain Management and Logistics Real Estate.

The purpose of Oblog is to "gather and produce monitoring indicators, research and benchmarks for the sector” in order to inform professionals of the major trends and developments in the logistics sector in Europe.

Where did Oblog get its start?

The founding members behind the creation of Oblog are Afilog, Foncière Europe Logistique (part of the “Foncière des Régions” group), GS1, Logistique Seine Normandie and GSE.

These firms and organisations provide the professionals and the sector experts with their expertise in business and networking.

Tools proposed by Oblog

- Oblog offers the ability to gain access to the key indicators for transportation and logistics and for the current economic situation.

- Every quarter, a study is proposed on a theme directly related to logistics real estate, logistics services or supply chain management.

The program for the year 2007/2008 includes the following:

• October 2007: 4PL/LLP roles and added value from cooperation in the supply chain.
• December 2007: The state of the logistics real estate property assets in France.
• March 2008: World map of logistics flows from the perspective of European industry.
• July 2008: Stakes involved and perspectives for logistics mutualisation.

Studies are published on line, on the Oblog site.
