		PLEXUS  The project owner, PLEXUS, an American industry leader in the electronic manufacturing services (EMS) industry, specialises in the supply of services for the electronic, medical and defense industries with clients including SIEMENS, COCA COLA, etc...    Well positioned in mid-to-low volume, higher complexity customer programs with high technological content, Plexus has seen its turnover grow steadily over the last 10 years with an average yearly growth of 15% and a 2 billion USD turnover in 2010.   PLEXUS contracted GSE for the design and build of a production unit in ORADEA/ROMANIA, allowing PLEXUS to provide its European clients with high value added electronic and medical products.   In line with their “Focus factory” concept, their operational needs are forever changing, depending on the products manufactured in the industrial unit. The nature of their operations created the need for a building that could offer maximum flexibility in relation to its equipment so that their operations can be adapted to each new product launch.   Currently, the GSE and PLEXUS teams are working together on the design of a building that integrates all the requirement for flexibility in their operations: -          An anti-static floor for the production of electronic components. -          Allowing for inflow flexibility of gas, electricity and compressed air so that PLEXUS are able to move their equipment around according to operational needs. -          Adhering to well defined margins for temperature and hygrometry in relation to the production of electronic and medical products. -          Allowing PLEXUS to create production zones that are client specific within their unit, constantly changing  Year of achievment : 2012   ELGAN NISSAN RENAULT - PITESTI (Romania)Project presentation Design and build contract signed with the developer ELGAN for the construction of a warehouse for the storage of spare parts for car manufacturer Renault/Dacia. Start of the construction works: Mid May 2009. Completion Date: Mid Feb 2010. Technical description The warehouse is divided into 10 cells by fire walls.  Free height: 10m. The office building is attached to the warehouse. 2 levels, 1,200 m2 each. Structure of the building: prefabricated concrete foundations, columns, beams and purlins. Roof: 0,88mm thick trapezoidal sheet, 12 cm mineral wool insulation, 1,5mm thick PVC membrane. Cladding : casette type Slab : 20 cm thick, 30kg/m3 fibers, load bearing capacity: 10,6 t / rack leg 31 docks and levellers, 4 level entry doors 4 x 4,5m ESFR sprinkler in the warehouse. 		Project presentation Working in partnership with Phenix Project Romania, GSE were appointed to carry out an extension to an existing building for GEODIS in Bucharest. The 11,310 m² build is particularly notable for the following two challenging requirements: - The building had to be earthquake-proof requiring 4 x 4 metre foundations as well as 75 x 75 cm pillars. - The short construction period of 5 months.
