GSE, French leader in the design and construction of logistics and industrial buildings, has been active for a number of months seeking to extend its activity in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia where the group is working with major companies and institutional organisations in the development of logistics platforms and other industrial or commercial projects.
As in other countries where the group is present, and depending on the nature of the project, GSE can act at multiple stages including masterplanning, the search for sites, organisation of administrative and legal aspects, search for an appropriate financial partner and, ultimately, the preparation of a rental proposal for the completed buildings.

Presentation of the project on 25th September 2009
The new research centre for Kerneos (or Kerneos Research Centre, KRC) will be completed in spring 2010 in the development zone of the technology park of Vaulx-le-Milieu. The construction of this Research Centre is being carried out by the GSE Group, specialists in the design and build of professional real estate, in conjunction with Amplitude architects led by Jean Yves Clément in Grenoble and appointed by Kerneos.

GSE, the engineering company specialising in the design, construction and turnkey delivery of industrial buildings and warehousing, has awarded the prizes for its first architecture and engineering competition on the theme of the multi storey warehouse. The competition was open to architectural students studying for a masters degree and engineering students in the last two years of their degree course.

During the entire month of September, the GSE Challenge organizers are meeting with students to introduce the GSE architecture and engineering contest. 14 architecture schools and 10 engineering schools from throughout France are participating in the event. GSE is contacting students and professors at these 24 schools to encourage them to create multi-discipline teams and sign up for the GSE Challenge on 20 October.

General Contractor GSE adds the major distributor Kiabi to its list of clients
KIABI has assigned GSE with the turn-key construction of its new logistics platform in the Lauwin-Planque industrial park in Northern France. The construction project has been designed in an “H” shape which involves two phases. The building wings are dedicated to receiving and storage and the central area to order preparation and shipment. The entire built area comes to 68,616 m² net surface area.

Environmental and Human Protection: Flumilog, a first in Europe

Working toward the creation of a national reference for environmental protection and risk prevention for logistics buildings, a working group has been forged to launch a campaign of fire tests and develop applicable methodology.
The project has been christened Flumilog and federates several partners, including Ineris, CNPP, CTICM, ArcelorMittal, SCMF, Afilog and GSE. The project currently seeks to determine the distances at which a warehouse fire impacts the environment, a basic element of environmental impact studies.
