The investigation into earth shifting carried out prior to construction highlights areas where excavation and infill could be evened out: excavated material can be treated by lime or cement to improve mechanical characteristics. This avoids transporting large volumes of materials as well as avoiding soil mixture removal from borrow pits.
A “Green Site”, established at the request of the client, allows for selective sorting (7 different skips) and reduces the quantity of site waste products therefore the volume of waste removed. This is one way of avoiding soil pollution risks.
