The aim of logistics activities is to rationalise the flow of merchandise between the point of production and the point of consumption. The main consequences of this: road traffic management, trucks carrying full loads, fewer trucks on roads.
Insulation to heated buildings limits greenhouse effect gas emissions whilst reducing the consumption of fossil fuels (oil, gas).
Wind turbine of 20 m in height fitted with blades of 11 m span producing 20 kW supplying some of the office energy requirements.
Solar panels installed into roofing enable light to be converted into electricity. For example, the instantaneous production capacity of 650 kW on the ProLogis Moissy-Cramayel site is the equivalent to supplying 650 individual houses.
Sun-break façades limiting use of air conditioning in offices.
Natural light via translucent panels to roofing reducing the energy bill for lighting and increasing visual comfort for end users.
